The Nile River is in Egypt . It is the longest river in the world.
The papyrus plant grows on the banks of the Nile . It is dried and pressed and used for writing.

History:

A Pharaoh is a King or Queen in Egypt.
Cleopatra was the last Pharaoh.
Cleopatra was very beautiful and smart. She had a beautiful voice, spoke many languages, and was well educated. Both Roman rulers Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony fell in love with her.
Cleopatra met Julius Caesar by hiding in a rug and being transported secretly to him.
Cleopatra met Mark Anthony on an enchanting boat filled with rose petals.
Like a typical Pharaoh queen, Cleopatra wore a golden dress with serpent bracelets around her arms. Her crown has the traditional Egyptian vulture symbol.
